Our mission
The philosophy of Apnea Academy KAD can be summarized in the’attention given to the young student as an active protagonist, capable of free collaboration and cooperation. The primary objective is education in water safety.
Apnea Academy KAD aims to build, around the child, a true educational project, aimed both at the actual psychophysical abilities and at the individual concepts to be introduced for its safeguarding in the aquatic environment.
The training project
The educational path includes the introduction of important concepts such as: safety, teamwork, solidarity, and group organization. During underwater exercises, the child will be taught proper breathing, the importance of respiratory recovery, equalization, and underwater rescue exercises.
The focus is always on the child and never on the results achieved.
The type of work
The KAD work plan structures its proposal based on the careful analysis of the fundamental elements that influence the child's mental development:
- Organic growth, with consequent maturation of the nervous system and progressive improvement of psycho-motor perceptions;
- Analysis of the experience, both for theoretical notions and for the practical aspects of the exercises;
- Socialization within the group, an essential element for progressive maturation in interpersonal relationships.
Who is the course aimed at?
- KAD INSTRUCTOR: holding a valid Apnea Academy certification, or an Apnea Academy Assistant Instructor, currently valid; a valid freediving certification from another recognized KAD organization. Obtaining the KAD INSTRUCTOR certification qualifies for activities in both pool and open water.
- KAD INDOOR UNDERWATER ACTIVITIES MASTER: holding a valid swimming instructor certification; or holding a bachelor's or master's degree related to a pedagogical course of study, along with holding an OPEN (first level) freediving certification. Obtaining the KAD INDOOR UNDERWATER ACTIVITIES MASTER certification qualifies exclusively for activities in the pool.
